One of the benefits of working from home from time to time is that I have the pleasure (and very often displeasure) of catching the kids just as they get off the school bus. Today, my 9 year old gets home (he’s the 3rd of 4 kids), and before anything else, says “Dad, we can’t forget that tonight is the premiere of ‘Shark Tank’!”

If you haven’t caught Shark Tank yet (especially if you work for a startup and may have the opportunity to make a presentation to your Board), you really owe it to yourself to do so. I’ve been a huge fan from the start.  It’s an awesome show with some great business lessons in sales, marketing, entrepreneurship, confidence, the importance of understanding numbers and finance, and best of all, it is surprisingly entertaining for both kids and adults. It’s the ABC TGIF lineup redefined for a new generation.
